Description
A medium-strength cigar with an overall creamy profile accented with notes of spice and pepper. Its Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and filler. Handmade in Nicaragua, the Joya de Nicaragua Numero Uno line was intended for Nicaraguan ambassadors to hand out to world leaders, but it was so well received that the company eventually made it part of its regular production.

Prefer the bigger vitola but this one is still great

amazing tobacco and construction strength is a little above medium.

The wrapper was torn in different places. A lot of pepper and not very complex at all.
Philippe B. · 04/12/2025 - 5.00
Incredibly smooth, mild bodied but very creamy texture. Started off very slight woody taste, along with some sweetness and nuttiness. Then the sweetness gets stronger towards the 2nd half of the smoke, the cigar becoming more vanilla tasting. Flavors remain consistent till the very nub. Some slight spice lingering in the background. Overall, a delicious smoke, mild+ to medium- strength. Almost as good as the Brulee Blue! Box worthy for me!

Great mild-medium strength cigar with great burn and draw. Plenty of character and complexity, with bread, spice, toffee, and fruit notes.

Perfect construction and draw. Good flavors. I did not pick up as much spice as I do on the Lonsdale, but still an enjoyable cigar. Recommend to lovers of good Ecuadorian Connecticut wrappers.
