  The Hot Cake is the follow-up to HVC’s Pan Caliente brand. Handmade by Aganorsa Leaf in Nicaragua, the Hot Cake is a fuller bodied blend that sports a toothy Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper placed over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. HVC Cigars was founded by Reineir Lorenzo. It is an acronym for Havana City, which was Lorenzo’s hometown in Cuba.

  The Golden Line Connecticut is the second release of the ever-popular Hot Cake brand by HVC, which is known to sell like “hot cakes.” Hot Cake cigars are known for their boldness and potency. However, the Golden Line Connecticut takes a walk on the mild side. Its Nicaraguan binder and filler are covered by a smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper. This is the first time the HVC Hot Cake line has released a cigar with a Connecticut Shade wrapper. The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua at HVC’s factory in Esteli.
