Description
This full-bodied cigar delivers notes of cocoa, coffee, earth, and it is underscored by an irresistible sweetness. It is a Nicaraguan puro that is covered by a dark chocolatey Habano maduro wrapper. Once rolled, the cigar showcases the fine tobaccos that is grown in Nicaragua. It is handmade in Nicaragua at AJ Fernandez’s Tabacalera Fernandez factory. The Rebellious is the second release in the Henry Clay War Hawk series. The brand is named after Henry Clay, a Senator from Kentucky, who was the ninth U.S. Secretary of State in the 1800s and was known as the “Great Compromiser.” The Henry Clay War Hawk Rebellious Limited-Edition Toro is a limited-edition cigar, only 1,200 boxes of 20 cigars per box were made so get yours now before it becomes history.

A very good cigar. For me the taste profile and aroma were not my favorite. A little too much pepper. For me a bit overpriced. But no doubt this is a quality stick.

As a self-proclaimed Henry Clay War Hawk Connecticut fanatic, I realized I was doing myself a disservice by never having smoked the limited edition Rebellious, which really has nothing to do with its lighter cousin besides the name. While the standard War Hawk is a light-colored mild Connecticut smoke, the Rebellious sports a dark tan Habano maduro wrapper that just makes you want to lick it. And to my pleasant surprise, both the dry draw and the first few puffs were heavy in milk chocolate notes. A slight bit of pepper accompanies it to kick things off as well, a nice compliment to the sweet milky tones. After a third of the way, the cigar has become almost entirely chocolate-dominant, with slight cashew and baking spice and a smooth medium-bodied strength. My draw was good enough, although perhaps it could have been a LITTLE more open (I utilized a V cut, next time I'll try a straight cut). There was lots of chewy smoke, and the burn remained even and razor sharp from start to finish. I received multiple compliments on the aroma, and I only had to relight once, impressive since I was constantly putting it down to attend customers in the store. I strongly recommend the War Hawk Rebellious, but act quick, this limited edition stogie won't be around forever!

First couple of thirds were very nice, final third didn’t burn well and kept going off. Nevertheless, very tasty cigar. I enjoyed the pops of cacao
