Description
A medium bodied smoke that offers deep notes of earth, pepper, leather, and spice. Its Cameroon wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and a Dominican, Nicaraguan and Peruvian filler. After rolling, the cigars are sheathed in cedar sleeves, which can be used as spills to light the cigars. Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon is known for its complexity and excellent construction.

H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon Robusto 5×52 Newbie review ?? Still learning and developing my palate. I really enjoyed this cigar. It started with very pleasant smoke, no noticeable spice, a good aroma, and a very smooth retrohale. The flavor was enjoyable from the beginning. Toward the end of the first third, a mild spice started to develop. As the cigar progressed, the spice gradually increased, but it always remained pleasant and never became aggressive. One thing that really stood out to me was the draw. It was extremely easy throughout the entire cigar — actually a little more open than what I’m normally used to. The burn stayed nice and even. Going into the final third, I noticed a mild aftertaste but still no noticeable nicotine buzz. Toward the end, both the spice and the temperature of the smoke increased, but the cigar remained enjoyable. I’m still learning to identify specific flavors, so I won’t try to name notes I didn’t actually recognize. What I can say is that I liked the flavor, enjoyed the aroma and especially liked how smooth the retrohale was. Smoking time: 1 hour 19 minutes. Overall, a very enjoyable cigar and definitely one I would smoke again. ??

Tremendous! This stick was an eye opener. I have had very mixed results from this hallowed brand. My last Upmann disintegrated and was unsmokeable. Not sure why I reached for another one. Glad I did. This particular offering is brilliant. Smooth rich cedar and tobacco flavors with notes of cardamom and sweetness. Great draw and burn. Fantastic price point! 100% Boxworthy. It holds a permanent place in my rotation. Lesson; H Upmann has the reputation it does for a very good reason. Not all of their sticks are great but some like this one are simply outstanding. John F Kenndy’s favorite brand. Now I know why. Please try this!

Really enjoyed. Cameroon wrapper is not good overwhelmed at all, nice complexity from all the different origin tobaccos. Only slight issue I had was the draw bring a bit tight, but that also helps this be a nice long smoke and keeps it from being hot, even in the final third. I'm finding H. Upmann blends to be very appealing, and at this price point I think it's an exceptional value.

This was dusty, papery, and overall cheap tasting to me. Like smoking the cardboard and loose tobacco inside an old cardboard cigar box.
