The Knuckle Sandwich 58 marks the fourth annual birthday release from Knuckle Sandwich, this time commemorating Guy Fieri’s 58th birthday. The blend this year comes in a 6 1/4 ×54 oval-pressed toro. The blend stays true to the birthday tradition, Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper atop a Nicaraguan binder and fillers. Like all the Knuckle Sandwiches, the 58 is made at AJ Fernández’s San Lotano factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua. 

The wrapper lends a dark, rich backbone while the Nicaraguan core keeps the profile earthy and balanced. On the palate, dark earth and cocoa up front, followed by leather and roasted coffee notes. Pepper plays through the profile without ever being overpowering, and there’s a savory, slightly sweet edge that makes it very approachable.
