The Prospektor returns as one of the boldest, character-driven releases from Cavalier Genève. Long appreciated by connoisseurs of niche and boutique cigars, The Prospektor features the same Jalapa and Jamastran wrappers as the original, but swaps the fillers, making for a richer, more assertive profile than what is typical for Cavalier Genève. Expect a darker flavor set built around earth, cocoa, and roasted coffee, layered with black pepper and a subtle underlying sweetness that keeps everything in check. Strength lands comfortably in the medium-to-full range, making it satisfying without being overwhelming.

Finished with Cavalier’s signature edible gold diamond and produced in limited quantities, the 2025 return of Prospektor is a welcome comeback for fans of a deeper, more expressive profile and rare cigar curiosities.

The Cavalier Geneve Prospektor became an instant hit when it was first released as a store exclusive in 2019. Due to its popularity, the Prospektor was soon made available to all cigar aficionados. The blend uses a Jalapa, Nicaragua wrapper the comes from two different primings, which gives the wrapper its eye-catching, contrasting appearance. Under this unique blend is a Nicaraguan Habano binder and a filler composed of premium leaves from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Paraguay. The cigars are handmade in Honduras.

Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.
