The Bandolero Firecracker Limited Edition premium cigar is an annual release cigar crafted to celebrate Independence Day. With every issue, a new cigar maker is selected to develop its blend. Nelson Alfonso, who makes the Bandolero and Atabey brand, was chosen to do the honors for this latest edition. The cigar features a savory, oily, dark Ecuadorian maduro wrapper draped over an Ecuadorian binder and filler leaves from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The tobaccos are aged for five years prior to rolling. Once rolled, the cigars are aged for two years to enhance their flavor profile. Upon lighting, this full-bodied robusto explodes with fruity and sweet notes accompanied by touches of spice, cocoa, and cedar. In keeping with its name, the Firecracker is fashioned with a long twisted tobacco leaf at the cap made to resemble a “fuse.” The cigar is handmade in Costa Rica.
