A pleasant floral base accompanied by peppery, salty, sweetness and herbal notes give this mild to medium strength cigar its unique complexity. Handmade in Costa Rica, the blend was not disclosed. However, it was created by Nelson Alfonso a Cuban artist who is well-known in the cigar world for doing the artwork and packaging for the Cohiba Behike brand. The Atabey Duendes is a limited-release luxury cigar that deserves a special place in your humidor.

  Nelson Alfonso is the creative director for the Golden Age design firm which has handled the branding for Habanos, S.A. cigars. In addition, he was the designer behind Padron’s 50th Anniversary humidor. Alfonso is also a gifted cigar blender and founder of Atabey Cigars. Elegantly encased in glass tubes and packaging that is collector worthy, the Atabey cigar sports a beautiful Ecuadorian wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler for a mild to medium-bodied smoke. The Atabey has a pleasing floral base that is accented by a sweet and salty note.
