This anniversary edition takes the classic Don Carlos profile and adds a meaningful twist. The Don Carlos 90 Años was blended with the same tobaccos as the original, but after rolling, a Dominican Corojo wrapper gets placed over the traditional Cameroon. The cigar is rolled and aged for a year with only the Cameroon wrapper, after which the roller wraps the Corojo on top and the cigar rests for another full year.
That extra wrapper noticeably changes the flavor. You still get the familiar Don Carlos core of cedar, nuts, and baking spice, but the Corojo adds a touch of sweetness and a warmer, rounder finish. Essentially, the Don Carlos you know; just a little richer, a little sweeter, and built to celebrate The Man's 90th birthday without straying too much from the flavor (or the price).
