Perla del Mar cigars are affordable, box pressed smokes made by JC Newman Cigars in Nicaragua. Perla del Mar features an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed Shade wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and fillers. Spice and caramel notes are found throughout this smooth cigar with well balanced flavors. A great smoke for the price.

This sampler highlights the elegance of Ecuadorian Connecticut wrappers, grown under the country’s natural cloud cover, which acts like a giant shade tent. The result is a silky, golden leaf prized for its smoothness and balance. Unlike U.S. Connecticut Shade, which is grown under cheesecloth tents, Ecuador’s natural cloud cover provides more consistent conditions and lower costs, producing a thinner, smoother wrapper with mellower flavor. Expect notes of cream, cedar, nuts, and subtle sweetness. Ecuador has become the leading source for Connecticut-style wrappers worldwide.

Good cigar. Not complex but a good cigar.

Great stick for new smokers, it’s pretty light, had a consistent even burn throughout and you can taste different notes between the first and final third. Didn’t have much going on neither on the palette nor the nose but still a solid smoke for a CT.

Typical connie, hay and quite a pepper blast. My stick had a loose draw and bad burn line, but kelt lit. Was hoping for more from PDM

First time trying this brand and not disappointed

Got this as a freebie via my local cigar lounge. Cold aroma and draw were just grassy hay. Initial light up was very earthy and peppery forward….too much for me, and too strong for my liking….at first. BUT, as I got into 2/3, the gar mellowed a lot, however still very earthy, peppery and pure strong tobacco.
Draw was great, burn good, flavor okay. For a cheaper stick it’s just alright.

Just cigar nothing special.
