Great looking cigar. Starts mild but it gets stronger half way. burn was a little uneven but great time.

I loved this Cigar. However, for the money it had a flawed burn. Maybe I just had a flawed stick.

The wait is overs and once again Grupo de Maestros does not disappoint. The cigar looks classy, the wrapper is even, smooth and once you get rid of the cedar covering the torpedo stick it looks exactly like its cuban counterpart: the Montecristo no 2, but of course I like this one better (personal preference). Upon lightning the cigar is all about cedar and leather notes with some spice and pepper here and there. Wood and hay notes lead the way in the second third with a dash of floral flavors and an increase of the pepper...very interesting. The cigar starts as a solid medium but increases in strength at the end to a full bodied even though it’s smooth and creamy. Nice burn and ash. There are not many different flavors in this cigar but the variation in the intensity of them and the way they are perceived make it complex and satisfying to the palate. Overall it was an excellent smoke, the cigar delivers on every aspect: flavor, strength, aroma, complexity, balance and finish. It is a must try.
