Jose Seijas, the legendary master blender who oversaw the production of Montecristo, H. Upmann and Romeo y Julieta for years, comes back to the industry with a brand of his own, Matilde Renacer. "Renacer" in Spanish means "rebirth", and this portrays both the resurgence of Jose Seijas and the rebirth of an old Dominican brand made by Tabacalera La Matilde in 1876 in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Matilde Renacer cigars are made with predominantly Dominican filler with a bit a Nicaraguan, a Dominican binder and an Ecuadoran Habano wrapper.

Incredible flavor.
Not a bad smoke, I can see why it scored a 90. My rating was a 9 based on the appearance, draw, burn, construction, aroma, and taste. Adding this stick to my rotation, also.
From one of the most red wrappers I have ever seen, to the beautiful ring design/colors, to the exceptional burn, to the delicious mix of sweet and mild spice….this stick is top notch. A true medium body…if you’re a fan of Habano wrappers….don’t pass this one up.

lots of leather some ceder and sweetnes, lots of smoke. Though this not being my favorite notes and willmaybe not be going for this again, it is a well made cigar, good draw and even burn. i still recommend trying it.
