La Palina 1948

The La Palina 1948 cigar line was created to celebrate Bill Paley’s 75th birthday. Paley is the grandson of Sam Paley who founded the La Palina brand in the late 1800s. After a long hiatus, Bill Paley reintroduced the brand to cigar aficionados looking for a traditional smoke with a contemporary appeal. The 1948 not only celebrates Paley’s birthday but it commemorates La Palina’s family history in the cigar industry. The La Palina 1948 is medium bodied smoke that features a smooth Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed sun-grown wrapper that has been aged for two years and a Nicaraguan binder and filler sourced from farms owned by the Oliva Cigar Co. The cigars are expertly hand crafted in Nicaragua at the TABOLISA factory, which is also owned by Oliva.
