In 2003 Tatuaje founder Pete Johnson chose My Father Cigars to craft his boutique premium cigars. Tatuaje became My Father Cigars first client. It was the start of a long and successful working relationship that was made in a tobacco field. To commemorate their union, they decided to create a limited-edition blend for each other and call it the La Union. The cigars are sold in a collectible humidor that stores 20 Tatuaje for My Father cigars and 20 My Father for Tatuaje. Each cigar in this limited-edition collection is a Prominente Especial (Churchill, 7”1/4*50). The humidor comes with a numbered XIKAR Perfect Xi1 cutter that was designed to celebrate this perfect union. The cigars are handmade by My Father Cigars in Nicaragua.

Tatuaje Cigars owner Peter Johnson named each size in the Escasos brand using the letters that make up the word “Hunter”, his dog’s name.

Released in 2006, Tatuaje Havana VI line of cigars are produced in traditional Havana style, including a triple cap. The blend is milder than the Tatuaje Miami because it uses volado leaf in the filler instead of ligero.

The Tatuaje Havana VI Verocu Blue is a line extension of the popular Havana VI Verocu brand. The Blue is a regular production Nicaraguan puro that features a Corojo ’99 Colorado wrapper. These are the original cigars released by Pete Johnson in 2003 and made in Little Havana, Miami by Cuban master blender Pepin Garcia, then unknown in the United States. Tatuaje Miami is also known as Seleccion del Cazador and Tatuaje Cabinet. The cigars are rolled in classic Cuban tradition with Cuban seed tobacco grown in Nicaragua. They are medium to full in flavor and feature a beautiful Cuban triple-cap.
