The Fratello Classico is a medium to full-bodied cigar that is hand rolled in Nicaragua. It sports a dark, Nicaraguan Habano wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder and blended fillers from Nicaragua and Peru. The Fratello Classico has a creamy and spicy flavor profile.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Colorado is a medium brown color also known as EMS or English Market Selection as this used to be the color with more popularity in England than in America.

Nicaraguan Habano
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

Ecuador Sumatra
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Ecuador Sumatra tobacco is made from Sumatra-seeds that been cultivated in Ecuador, one of the most ideal locations for growing tobacco. The leaves tend to be dark and rich in flavor.

These Short Robusto formats are often hard to pull off because way too often they burn too hot but Fratello did a great job with these. All the flavors of the full size vitolas in a convenient package. I think the original is my favorite of the bunch.

Good burn flavors were good took a few points off appearance due it a glob of glue on the band that made the wrapper tear when I took it off. No excuse for that but the cigar itself is definitely worth trying

Perfect construction and burn. No touchups needed. Tons of thick, rich creamy smoke with flavors of spicy black pepper and a bit of dark chocolate bitterness. A lot of flavor packed in that short stick!

Great smoke at a remarkable price. I found it on the more mild side of full bodied. Thick volume of smoke, great aroma and flavours. Had some burn issues but that can happen for many reasons. Definitely a cigar to stock up on for a great everyday smoke

A nice classic flavor profile. The corona is a bit more intense than I prefer but I keep going back to it and trying to find relaxation but I smoke it too fast and ruin every one of them. It’s a good cigar though, my ineptitude is my fault. Well…I blame my wife…she banned me from cigars for a year so I am struggling to get back into a rhythm. Price is great, appearance is pleasant and construction is pretty good. I taste spicy creaminess. A couple cigars needed purging and they were really good afterwards. I would buy again, Fratello makes pretty good cigars.

Good draw and burn. This has a classic smooth "old school" earthy, wood, a slight sweetness and some "heat" (pepper). It's that aged musty tobacco taste not so distant from a classic Cuban cigar. This may not be a best 1st cigar.

From the beginning, the Fratello Classico is packed with flavor. Its peppery notes weren’t overly aggressive, but if paired with a whiskey they come out a little bit more. The retro-hale brought out some sweetness and a little more of the peppery notes along with some cedar, which made this a really enjoyable smoke. Notes of cinnamon started to emerge as the cigar burned into the second third. They were followed by earthy ones, which changed things up a bit, and ended with sweet and creamy notes. The creaminess faded as the cigar reached its final stage and took a turn toward more cedar and pepper notes, while the earthy notes still lingered in the background. The sweetness gradually increased until the end. The draw was smooth with a slight kick at the back of the throat. This cigar had an excellent even burn all the way through. I would recommend the Fratello Classico to a seasoned smoker or the smoker who enjoys a nice whiskey with their cigar to match its peppery notes.
