To celebrate one decade of creating an exemplary smoke, master cigar crafter Nick Perdomo released the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Sun Grown. This milestone premium is hand crafted at the Tabacalera Perdomo factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. It features an eye-catching, reddish Cuban-seed Nicaraguan Sun Grown wrapper that has been carefully aged for 6 years and allowed to mellow in a bourbon barrel for an additional 10 months. The wrapper is then expertly placed over a Cuban-seed Nicaraguan binder and filler, which has been aged for 6 years. Perdomo cigars are highly regarded for their consistency and taste.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Colorado is a medium brown color also known as EMS or English Market Selection as this used to be the color with more popularity in England than in America.
Wrapper
Nicaraguan
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Perdomo Cigars President, Nick Perdomo Jr., is a third-generation cigar maker. His grandfather and father were cigarmakers in Cuba until the Castro regime incarcerated Nick's grandfather,Silvio, and wounded Nick's father, Nick Sr., who was able to escape to America. Nick, who opened his cigar company in his garage, now oversees over 2000 employees and an 88,000 sq ft factory in Nicaragua. Perdomo cigars are well known all over the world.

Firm construction, easy draw and pretty even burn with only a couple of minor touchups needed in the second half. Medium to full-bodied and toothy with bold flavors of black coffee and spicy black pepper.

Well, after giving it some thought. This cigar started out a little mild for me, but I the second third it came alive and my opinion changed. I thing it’s a good smoke and actually ended up with lots of flavor. The bottom line is I enjoyed it. I will buy more. Thumbs up.

A great release from Perdomo for 2020, 2nd only to the Maduro version of this stick. I was plagued by re-lights but blame it more on the SFLA humidity than the cigar. This is a spicy stick, watch that retrohale! I get well over two hours with this vitola... awesome!
