El Centurion H-2K-CT is an exceptional offering blended by Jose ‘Pepin’ Garcia. What makes this smoke unique is H-2K-CT, which refers to its gorgeous hybrid sun-grown Habano 2000 wrapper grown in the Connecticut River Valley. The unique wrapper covers an elegant pairing of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos grown by the Garcia family. A medium-bodied profile with notes of cedar, honey, nuts and creamy spices provides a luscious finish. El Centurion H-2K-CT is handmade at the My Father Cigars factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Pennsylvania maduro cigar wrapper comes from Connecticut Broadleaf plants grown in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania. This maduro cigar wrapper is said to be more spicy and leathery than its Connecticut cousin. Though this is not a very attractive leaf, it is appreciated for its rich, full flavor.

Nicaragua
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

Their Miami headquarters house 12 rollers that make all of the company's "handmade in Miami" brands.

Great cigar overall. The burn isn't perfect, which is what I expect with every My Father cigar. However, everything else was great. One negative, but was fully disclosed when I purchased, is the Ring Gauge is pretty low, so keep that in mind. I'll definitely buy again.

Loved the look of this cigar which is what drew me to it. I was able to age it nicely before I decided to smoke it. The taste was great, burned very well and had a great aroma to it! I plan on keeping a few of these in my humidor at all times!

What an amazing cigar, these box-press are full of flavor. Full of bold flavors from start to finish, nice draw. I would suggest a V cutter to have a better draw of the flavors. Over all a great cigar.

Another solid My Father line of cigars. Medium bodied smoke with tons of flavor - creamy, coffee, & wood with a little pepper. Not too over-powering though.... just a smooth, flavorful smoke. Bought a box when it came on sale here and came out to about $5-6 a stick. Can't beat that. A+ experience

This is a great smoke. The construction is beautiful. I love the box-press on this cigar. I do not recommend this to new smokers, or smoking this on an empty stomach. I recommend having a nice, hearty meal before smoking this stick. It starts out with an intense spice, but the spice quickly subsides into a nice smooth creamy and dark chocalately smoke. This is definitely closer to a full body smoke.

Deep, dark oily wrapper, with good construction. Tight pack with a slightly snug draw. Aroma is lovely, but not mind blowing. Flavors out in front are reminiscent salted pretzels with a touch of spice and black pepper on the back of the tongue and throat. Had some trouble keeping it lit, and it was a slower burner, but quite enjoyable.

I thought I'd give the Corona box press a try since I loved the TAA Torpedo so much. This one did not disappoint. Very rich earthy flavors like wood and leather. As with most box pressed, amazing draw. I will be getting more of these. Definitely worth the try.
