It features a Nicaraguan Cuban-seed maduro wrapper that was aged for 15 years in bourbon barrels. This dark, savory wrapper cloaks a binder and filler blend made of premium Nicaraguan tobacco that have been aged for 15 years. This specially hand-selected blend delivers a bold smoking indulgence with a deep complexity. Handmade in Nicaragua, the Perdomo 30th Anniversary Box-Pressed Maduro was crafted by the Perdomo family to not only celebrate the brand’s anniversary but as a way to thank their loyal supporters.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

Nicaraguan Maduro
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Perdomo Cigars President, Nick Perdomo Jr., is a third-generation cigar maker. His grandfather and father were cigarmakers in Cuba until the Castro regime incarcerated Nick's grandfather,Silvio, and wounded Nick's father, Nick Sr., who was able to escape to America. Nick, who opened his cigar company in his garage, now oversees over 2000 employees and an 88,000 sq ft factory in Nicaragua. Perdomo cigars are well known all over the world.

To celebrate three-decades of crafting excellent premium cigars, Nick Perdomo released the aptly named Perdomo 30th Anniversary Maduro cigar. And to drive home the anniversary angle Perdomo used a Nicaraguan Cuban-seed maduro wrapper that was barrel aged for 15 years. Then he wrapped it around a binder and filler composed of premium Nicaraguan tobacco that was also aged for 15 years: 15 + 15 = 30. Get it? I was expecting this all-Nicaraguan smoke to pack a spicy punch, but because its leaves were aged, the overall flavor profile was smooth, creamy, and sweet. It did have hints of oak and spice, but for the most part this toro was all sweetness. The ash was white and did not want to fall off the cigar. If you’re looking for a special occasion smoke at an affordable price, I recommend this cigar. Even if the occasion is to watch the sun set, which is pretty special. Pair it with an espresso (no sugar) to contrast the cigar’s sweetness.

This is a beast of a cigar. Wonderful notes if wood and cocoa with a nice coffee finish. Very smooth from the aged tobacco. I would like a box of these because they are consistently good and I am impressed. This will be the second size from this line that I have tried and I can safely assume that they are all amazing.

This is hands-down incredible stick right from light up. I got dark chocolate black coffee and oak through the retro hale I got a really nice black pepper and fruit The cigar also has a really good sweetness to it the cigar is full powered, but also very smooth if you’re a fan of full-bodied sticks, the Perdomo 30th anniversary Maduro is certainly in my opinion one of the best Maduro offerings you could ever get

Nice looking wrap on this one. I cut it and took a cold draw which gave me straight milk chocolate. Upon lighting, it has notes of cedar, coffee, leather and some noticeable spice which I am sure will build a bit on this one. Construction seems flawless. Razor burn. I'm a fast smoker and this one is not developing any bitter or unwanted flavors half way through which is a good sign. This aged tobacco is wonderful! Very mellow but packed with flavor. I'm getting roasted coffee, cocoa, leather and slightly elevated spice now. Everything is getting dark but you're buckled in for the ride at this point... It is still surprisingly smooth in the last third. Still plenty of roasted coffee, cocoa, and cedar which is now slightly charred. This is a very enjoyable smoke that has a ton of subtle complexities and I will be revisiting it soon, along with the other ones in this new line. The fullness of flavor is not off-putting with this stick.

An excellent cigar. Really nice draw. Starts out peppery and as you smoke it, flavor becomes more complex. Definitely a full bodied cigar. Always enjoy Perdomo cigars but I have a new favorite.
