It is composed of a beautiful, savory Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a Dominican Republic binder and filler, and it is handmade at the Tabacalera Fuente factory in the Dominican Republic. Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.

Allan Weinstein Why does the conquistador cost more than the emperador? Since it is smaller

NeptuneCigar.com While the length of the Emperador is longer, the width of the conquistador is greater, so that could be why the manufacture chose this pricing structure.

A cheap cigar I like to keep on hand , f you have to waste half of the cigar you don’t worry about it with is one. Loose draw, milder taste, ugly appearance get what you pay for.

Several things I liked about this cigar! the price is great, the burn was very good. The flavor was good enough considering that this really is utility cigar from AF. One thing I loved was the amount of smoke, I wish all cigars produced this amount this is a good every day cigar the doesn’t break the bank!

I’ve been purchasing these cigars for many years from a local tobacconist. The cigars always seem quite good. The aroma is very nice; leathery, earthy, and creamy. All the leaf used in these cigars is top notch good, it’s just the trimmings from the company’s other cigars. Find a thick freezer zip lock, store them, forget about them. Find them next year, and you’ll think you’re smoking a ten dollar stick.

I didn't think there was anything on offer from the Fuentes Dynasty that I hadn't tried, but this blend apparently made a quiet entrance on the scene recently and after stumbling upon it I had to take one for a spin to keep myself fully apprised of all the Fuentes on offer. Initially, based on the price point and the unusually basic presentation for a Fuentes, I had to ask if this was some kind of expansion of the curly head (mixed-filler) line. But after being assured that while, yes it is a mixed filler, this was still a Fuente standards level stick I really had to have a go. It won't be my last. It didn't have the creaminess of the Natural optioned Fuentes or the nuance of the Flor Finas (or Hemingways, but find me a stick of any make or model that can hold their own with the Hemingway line in terms of complexity, and you will have achieved the equivalent of finding the next Ernest Hemingway), but it was surprisingly flavorful and burned near enough to a long filler to be able to fool the uninitiated. And if you smoke a lot of cigars (as I do) it doesn't hurt to have the option of an affordable stick that is this good. Not quite "Champagne on a beer budget" but solidly "Blended scotch on a beer budget". Tonio "Sandman" D.
