Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Tobacco is grown in many islands of the Archipelago but, as far as cigars are concerned, Sumatra and Java are the ones. Sumatra Wrappers are worldwide known. Central Java (Vorstenland) and East Java (Besuki) give fillers and wrappers in abundance. Indonesia is a key country for cigar tobacco.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.

Filler (or “tripa” in Spanish) is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar. The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

Overall great price for the sampler. Tatiana makes a great flavored cigar overall. None of the cigars were ripped or stale. Came with moist wraps to keep the cigar fresh after opening. Individually wrapped. Overall good job to Neptune for taking such great care to get this to me and so quickly

Tatiana classic sampler was definitely a good buy, I find that these cigars have great flavor, but tend to come loose towards the end of the smoke. Really enjoyed the different flavors. As usual Neptune always sends their products in very good packaging.

This was a bit of a surprise to me, but a very welcome one. I really like honey in the honeycomb, and this smells and tastes exactly like honeycomb. I got a full blast of the aroma before even taking it out of the cellophane wrapper, and I just gave the cap a small lick and bam. Honeycomb. This cigar gives off light billows of smoke that have the aroma of, you guessed it, honeycomb. I am definitely going to buy more of these. They are a moderately quick smoke, about 50-60 minutes, but you don't always have 90min or more to have a smoke. Very nice.

Tasty little things. Very sweet flavor and good taste. Perfect for sitting in a hammock or in the raft and floating in the backyard pool and enjoying a fast smoke. Also excellent choice for after dinner when you want to finish with something sweet with a cognac or rum.

In total transparency I don't smoke flavored cigars but my SO does. She normally smokes vanilla cigars. I bought these for her just to try something different. She told me not to get her the honey flavored again. Nothing wrong with the cigar just her personal taste preferenc. The aroma was great. I gave them to my assistant who is trying to quit cigarettes and she likes them.

If you are familiar with Tatiana, you know they are sweet, aromatic and consistent. These are no exception. Wonderful flavor and a sweet quick smoke. I always have a few in the humidor for my wife and newbies, but don't mind smoking one myself for a change of pace now and then.
