The Plasencia Alma Fuerte Natural is hand crafted in Nicaragua by the Plasencia family who have been growing tobacco for five generations and own three of the largest cigar factories in Nicaragua. The Alma Fuerte Natural is a medium strength cigar that is blended using only premium Nicaraguan tobaccos. This Nicaraguan puro is known for its natural sweetness and woodsy flavors. The cigars are placed in a wooden box whose lid is designed to serve as an ashtray.

What a stick. Had several Alma Fuerte cigars in the regular line but ends up the Claro wrapper is where its at. This was a dream cigar with wonderful flavor profile of chocolate milkshake, cream and spice...with some woody notes in the last 3rd. Draw and construction were very nice with a just tiny bit of uneven burn. So glad I bough a five pack. In my top 3 cigars I have smoked this year including a Cohiba Siglo 6 in Rome on vacation, a magical Padron 64 Hermoso and now this. All this after the buckeyes beat PSU earlier today...what a perfect day :-)

This is a top tier cigar!! The hexagon shape seems a little gimmicky but it makes the 60 ring seem a little smaller. This cigar can be smoked any time of day, it’s smooth, complex, flavorful! Construction has been flawless every time!!

Plasencia is a name that has garnered a lot of popularity in the last handful of years. Formerly the "unsung heroes" of the industry, the company has been manufacturing tobacco for countless other brands throughout the decades, and it wasn't until the release of the Alma series in 2017 that most smokers became aware of their mighty presence. One of their more unique offerings is the Alma Fuerte Hexagon, which as you may guess, is box-pressed into a 6-sided cigar with more edges and straight lines than a Lamborghini. Truly a spectacle to behold (and hold), the Hexagon shape is definitely a conversation starter, and it also allows you to smoke the 60 ring gauge easier than if it were a traditional round shape. The original Alma Fuerte Hexagon was a stronger blend than the one I am talking about today, the Alma Fuerte Colorado Claro, which swaps out the Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper for a Colorado Claro leaf and the black band for a green one. While both are extraordinary, the Colorado Claro is noticeably smoother, with a steady medium-body strength as opposed to the more full-bodied original. Notes of cedar and figs splash onto the palate upon first puff, with notes of honey and graham cracker making their subtle appearance after the halfway mark. And I'm not entirely sure if I expected a better or worse burn due to the insane shape of this stick, but I'm happy to report that it burned just as evenly as one could hope for. Some may be a bit weary of the price of this elegant beauty, but when I say that the Plasencia Alma Fuerte Colorado Claro Hexagon is special and worth every penny, I mean it! Enjoy with good company, and paired with a quality single malt Scotch, there's few things better...

This is what I call a perfect blend. Good burn, fantastic creamy smoke, French vanilla like aroma. The taste has a good mixture of light pepper, roasted/glazed nuts, hints of vanilla and a touch of whiskey to it. Only downside was in the final 1/4 the binder started to burn up and you got this tar like scent which caused me to put out the cigar but other than this is a great stick.

This is my favorite cigar not even close. I usually don't taste a lot of flavors or get changes as I work through the cigar. This one gives me almonds and nutmeg clearly in the beginning as I get into the last 3rd you get strong taste of spearmint. The whole time the cigar is silky smooth. They only bad thing I can say about this stick is the $$$ and I still ponied up for a box I love it so much.
