The Balmoral Serie Signaturas Dueto is the unprecedented collaborative efforts of two great cigar makers. Released by Royal Agio Cigars and handmade at the renowned Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr.’s Tabacalera La Alianza factory in Nicaragua, Balmoral Serie Signaturas Dueto is the pinnacle of their efforts. The results? A Nicaraguan wrapper from Jalapa, a binder from Estelí, and a masterfully blended filler made of tobacco from Nicaragua, and Agio’s signature Brazilian mata norte tobacco. Royal Agio’s line of Balmoral cigars are prized for their unique flavor and pleasant aroma. The Serie Signaturas Dueto takes it to a whole new level.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Like previous reviewers I found this one tight on the draw though I did get an even burn. Played hell getting the lower band off. Nice flavor with notes of oak cream and cinnamon. Loosen the draw and this would be a good tasty stick.

This one's a sleeper and should consistently be on everyone's list of the top of the top. The Churchill gives off notes of smooth, creamy hazelnut and bitter dark chocolate from start to finish. Strength is kept to a minimum, which is what EP Carillo does best when he decides to do so. It's not a transitional one, so don't expect to sit there and dissect this one, but that's not a knock on the cigar. This is meant as a stick to chill with friends and focus on some more important, like what's on the grill or why that dreaded slice always shows up whenever you need it the least. And that's what makes this cigar great, it's meant to enhance what you're doing. So don't sleep on this one and regret that you never picked one or a few of them up.

This stick was a winner,, starting with the box grey & red my favorite Color. The maduro wrapper is a flawless chocolate milk brown, the foot ban is so beautiful I hated removing it. The smoke itself was flavorful with oakie and cashew notes, and the aroma was marvelous with a woody scent. It was well constructed but I did have a little trouble with the burn, I had to touch it up once, other than that this is a a stick worthy of a box in a humidor.

Two names with a long history and tremendously successful in the cigar world combined their experience and taste to create this beautiful stick. The band is bright red, just gorgeous. The wrapper is oily and kind of dark-reddish. Since the wrapper and binders are Nicaraguan tobacco with mata fina and Nicaraguan fillers I was not entirely surprised the way the cigar started. A blast of pepper takes up my palate followed by a very pleasant nuttiness and coffee notes. For a second I almost thought the pepper was too much but... I‘m not a quitter. The pepper started receding after a couple of puffs. The cigar is more tame and became smoother and more balanced. Some hay and earthy notes dance around the pepper with a sweetness underneath and fruity aroma. I’m loving it, my bud tastes are happy. The final third comes with an increase of the coffee/cacao notes and a tone up of the pepper, not overwhelming but almost like in the beginning. Only this time the underlying sweetness makes the combination more interesting. Draw and burn were good, the cigar was flavorful and satisfying.Pair it with rum and it was great!
