The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

This stick has a dark chocolatety wrapper, a light oily feel heavy cocoa aroma. A great draw thick rich smoke building to a earthy, think not overwhelming peppery vanilla spice on the finish. Burns very slowly with great construction, medium body with notes changing to a sweet cocoa and saddle leather that holds on through the finish adding a peppery spiciness on your tongue. The construction remains awesome with the same prominent flavors. This stick remains a slow good burn for the hour and a half with the last third remaining a light pepper, spice and leather ending a slightly sweet cocoaness. The construction and draw was perfect all the way through great cigar it is now the staple of my humidor.

If you like to throw money around and blow a lot of smoke, this cigar is for you. Loose press, easy draw, lots of smoke. Medium strength, just lacking in flavor. Got a few. Might smoke more, give some away. Probably won't buy more. Plenty more to choose from, especially at this price.

Well-constructed cigar that burned nicely with good ash hold & color, but I simply didn’t get a lot of the flavor notes indicated in the description. I was drinking a dark beer while smoking this cigar so that may have affected my taste buds at the time. If the price drops in the future, I may be compelled to give it another try.
