Warped cigars does the industry a great service here by bringing back to life an old Cuban brand. La Hacienda was all but forgotten, but now it’s back and ready to bring you that same time-tested Cuban-esque flavor. And also happens to feature the largest size in any warped cigar…small in comparison to the rest of today’s market, big huge in flavor. Without further ado, welcome, Warped La Hacienda. Made at the revered Casa Fernandez factory in Nicaragua, this stellar blend features bold tobaccos all hailing from the volcanic rich soils of Nicaragua. Medium-bodied, La Hacienda plays host to refined nuances of dried fruit, nut, and citrus.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Colorado is a medium brown color also known as EMS or English Market Selection as this used to be the color with more popularity in England than in America.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Corojo wrapper was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo wrapper because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo wrapper has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

Corojo
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Corojo tobacco was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.
Criollo
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Costa Rica Habano tobacco is a Cuban-seed tobacco that is grown in Costa Rica, and it is fermented using traditional Cuban methods. The tobacco is highly regarded for its Cubanesque flavor and aroma.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

A very enjoyable smoke. Reasonably priced. Lots of smoke. The burn on the last third petered out as the wrapper burst open. Probably should have let it rest an additional week in humidor after received order from Neptune.

I would like to start this one by saying the brand Warped as a whole is phenomenal! Without further ado I give to you the La Hacienda Gran Robusto. This wonderful stick gave me a pleasant experience from start to finish. Before even cutting and lighting, I was already getting a very nice aroma of cedar, and after cutting I took a dry draw that met me with notes of spice & dried fruit. After the first draw taken upon lighting, I could already tell I was in for a good one with how nice and open the draw was! As I smoked the first half of this stick I experienced spice, toast, a light cedar, and some notes of graham cracker. As I shifted into the second half it retained some of the spice but transitioned into more noticeable notes of earth, dried fruit and some floral notes as well. I'm telling you, you need to try one of these if you haven't already! All in all I smoked this one down to the nub so that should tell you something. I definitely recommend having this stick inside your humidor at all times, and try pairing it with a coffee for an even more delicious experience.

Pretty okay cigar, not the best warped I’ve had, wrapper started splitting halfway down the cigar for some reason randomly, humidity is set to 68 for storage but it’s cracking like it’s dry. And alright quick smoke

Smoked mine outside with my morning coffee and it proved to be a pleasant and enjoyable smoke. Maybe on the heavy side of medium and creamy and smooth with occasional bursts of pepper emerging. Decent draw and burn throughout. Worth a try.

A delicious stick with some burn problems on the first half that required some babysitting. Floral, sweet, and nutty with citrus notes. Once I got past the burn issues it was a nice enjoyable smoke.

I've become very obsessed with two boutique cigar brands. Illusione and Warped. Seems like each time I smoke a Warped stick, I wonder why I'm obsessed with them. The cigars look amazing and taste pretty good but it's not nearly as special as advertised. They lack that super punch I expect from an expensive stick. This one was boring. The draw was good, not great. I had to pinch the tip a bit to get it to burn better. The flavors were nothing to write home about and I think I'm leaning towards ditching the Warped crew for something else.

I love the short robusto format of this "First Growth" cigar from the Warped La Hacienda line. The wrapper, a beautiful medium brown and reddish Corojo, pairs perfectly with the elegant blue band. The pre-light aroma is fresh like hay, and there is a fruity sweetness as well. Initially, the cigar is medium to full, and black pepper is prominent in the flavor profile. As the smoke progresses, some earthiness sneaks in. You can also taste citrus and cedar notes throughout, while the body remains quite strong with pepper in the background. Towards the end, the cigar becomes more creamy and woody. The burn was solid, the ash was tight, and the stogie produced plenty of smoke. When you try this cigar, take your time to smoke it slowly, as this short stick can fool you, it can last over one hour. At $8.50 per stick this is a great value!

On the whole, I think this is a delicious cigar. Flavors were delightful. I have had 6 of these and 2 have tunnelled. One was easily corrected, the other wasn't. If it wasn't for the tunnelling, this would be one of my favorite cigars.
