Emperors Cut Cigars is a boutique premium cigar brand that was founded by a group of cigar aficionados turned cigar crafters. Their cigars are designed to enhance the cigar enthusiast’s smoking experience by providing a flavorful cigar that can be enjoyed every day. Emperors Cut Cigars is a minority and women owned cigar company that is dedicated to creating cigars of the highest quality at affordable prices. They are based in Houston, Texas. The cigars are expertly handmade in Nicaragua at the Agrotabacos factory, which is owned by master cigar crafter Omar Ortez.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow binders, because it is located on the Equator and it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type binders to many cigar factory in the world.

Not sure what the hype is about. It just tastes like a huge cigarette with just a hint of something floral that interesting. Very lacking in flavor. Too mild. For this price point, its a huge disappointment. It would be just OK for 7 or 8 dolars. For 12+? Cant really recommend.

When smoking something new to me, I like to do as little research as possible. When I discovered the Emperor’s Cut Natural Pleasure, I embraced it as a challenge since I knew very little about the brand and had never had one before. So let’s get this thing started! Cutting the cap and giving it a dry test puff gave me some fruit and raw honey notes. At first light it has a robust coffee-like hint with a little bit of nutmeg. That flavor seemed to have lasted the entire first half of the cigar with subtle blasts of a cream-like sweetness. Retro haling is very peppery but does allow you to notice the aged tobacco notes. Noticing that this a straight shooter for consistency, I paired it with a coffee and they go together excellently. When approaching the band, the strength does pick up, while the flavors remain mostly consistent. At about just 2 inches left I called it quits. All in all, the Emperor’s Cut Natural Pleasure had a great burn, decent flavors throughout and will combo good with any drink. Enjoy!

This is a well constructed cigar with distinct changes over the 3 phases. First phase is peppery with an even draw. Second phase I taste like a brown sugar flavor. Third phase takes me to a nice espresso. Good stick.

This cigar has a great aroma and taste beautiful appearance an even draw and burn little spice in there and coffee very nice smoke

Initially, the flavors were muted, but after the first third, the cigar was medium-full with strong pepper notes. Will definitely buy again.
