Drew Estate’s Kentucky Fire Cured Swamp Thang Ponies uses two distinctively contrasting wrappers to create a balanced, complex and flavorful cigar. A medium-strength Small Panatela, the first two thirds of the Swamp Thang’s wrapper is made of Dominican Republic Candela tobacco. The last third of the wrapper is a Kentucky Fire cured leaf. Both leaves combine to create a rich, complex aroma with hints of barbecue sweetness. Pair it with a great scotch.

  It's time to head into the abyss with the newest rendition of the popular KFC blend by Drew Estate - meet Swamp Thang. Rising from the pit of innovation, Swamp Thang takes the familiar smokey mesquite goodness of its predecessor and morphs it into something even more extraordinary by utilizing a neon green Candela leaf wrapper on the first two-thirds of the cigar, reverting to its previous state right after the band. This rare combo allows for the introduction of earthy notes that amazingly pair very well with the hickory undertones found in the past, and a slight underlying pepper to simultaneously season things up a bit. There's no reason to be scared - this is one mutant you'll want to meet.

  Pale green to bright green in color, Dominican Candela is a mild, bitter wrapper that has seen very little sun. Found to be more and more uncommon as the years go by, Candela wrappers have an earthy, hay note with an underlying tinge of sweetness.

  Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. San Andres Maduro is a thick, medium bodied dark leaf, also called San Andres Morron. Like Connecticut Broadleaf, San Andres Maduro is stalk cut and used for binder and wrapper.
