  First unveiled in 2018, the Flor de Sleva Zodiac Series has become a sought after limited-edition cigar. The Series celebrates the Chinese New Year (aka Lunar New Year or Spring Festival). Each annual release is named after the Zodiac character that coincides with the Chinese New Year. However, the Zodiac Series also shares its roots with Mayan culture. The Mayans, an ancient civilization that inhabited western Honduras, believed that everyone has a spirit animal (or nahual) who guides them through life. When developing the Zodiac Series, Maya Selva Cigars fused the Chinese Zodiac with Mayan spiritual beliefs by incorporating Mayan hieroglyphics and art in the design of the cigar boxes and bands. The cigars are handmade in Honduras and are composed entirely of Honduran tobaccos. Its red-hued wrapper comes from Jamastran, a region in Honduras that is highly regarded for its fine tobacco.
