Room 101 Daruma for Achievers

The expression “fall down seven times, stand up eight,” is associated with the concept of perseverance/resilience. It is also associated with the Daruma Doll.  According to Japanese folklore, the Daruma Doll is a talisman that’s known to help with setting goals and attaining them. When purchased, the doll’s eyes are blank. You are then supposed to set a goal. Once set, you draw in the doll’s left eye. When the goal is attained you draw in the right eye. At the end of the year the doll is to be burned during a special ceremony. The Room 101 Daruma cigar uses the Daruma Doll as part of its artwork. Matt Booth, the brand’s creator, adapted the Daruma to symbolize the amount of hard work and perseverance it took to build a successful brand. He invites you to “take a brief moment to ignite a fine cigar in celebration of your accomplishment.” Celebrate your achievements (big or small) by lighting up a Room 101 Daruma
