About: The Griffin's Robusto Tubo 5" * 50
It's no secret that I usually enjoy smoking dark, full-bodied cigars. Thus, I figured it's time to switch things up a bit and aim for the opposite end of the spectrum. Having been a little while since I've smoked a really good Connecticut, I lit up a Griffin's Tubo Robusto, hoping for a high quality experience. I'm proud to say that it delivered in spades. Featuring a smooth, buttery wrapper, the initial light was rich in almond notes which ended up lasting throughout the entire session. Subtle notes of wood also appeared after about a quarter of the way in. Another thing worth praising is the construction of this cigar - it's pretty perfect. Nice, even burn from start to finish, no relights necessary, and a strong ash anyone would be proud of. Overall, this departure from my norm was extremely satisfying, and I can confidently recommend this stick to anyone looking for a mild smoke that doesn't skimp on taste.
