Description

The Juárez Bulldozer LE 2025, a box-pressed 5 1/2 x 58 Gordo with a pigtail cap. It uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Nicaragua. Crowned Heads says it’s a modified version of the standard Juárez blend; the regular blend does not list any Mexican tobacco in the filler.

Good amount of sweetness mixed in with some earthy flavors. For the price you can’t go wrong with this one!

It wouldn't surprise me if you have seen (or smoked) Crowned Heads' Juarez before, as it's been out for several years now. However, it WOULD surprise me if you've smoked the limited edition Bulldozer version of this historic blend, seeing how it was just released now in 2025. The Bulldozer is not your ordinary Juarez, as it tweaks the blend to add Mexican tobacco in the filler in addition to just the wrapper. This change ramps up the flavor in the Juarez Bulldozer to new levels of tastiness. This box-pressed gordo is rustic in appearance, with a pigtail cap and a black footer band. A quick whiff will provide you a smokey aroma, which is quite telling of what you're about to experience. After lighting, meaty notes of leather and chocolate flood the palate, with a nice touch of hickory on top and slight cashew notes. Although I normally twist pigtails off, I opted to straight cut this one, and the draw was immense! Wide open and easy, the smoke output was also extremely generous, filling the room with chewy smoke you could almost cut with a knife. Sporting a 58 ring gauge, the Bulldozer took its time burning, clocking in at around the hour and 15 mark. Medium-to-full bodied, this Juarez is not quite as powerful as you may initially expect, with lots of bold flavor but a forgiving strength overall, making this beast easy to tame no matter your experience level. At a price point under 9 dollars at the time of this writing, the Crowned Heads Juarez Bulldozer is what I call one hell of a value and belongs in everyone's humidor - no bull!

I have always enjoyed anything from Crowned Heads, and I have enjoyed their Juarez line from time to time. So when I visited the Neptune store I noticed the Bulldozer LE 2025, and I just had to try it. Dark and menacing looking like its bovine mascot the cigar had a "smoke me if you dare" look to it, but with a whimsical and very functional fantail. Prior to lighting, I picked up a hickory or BBQ aroma coming off the foot. The cigar had a full-on, box pressed shape which resembled a carpenter's pencil. The fantail came off easily. Although the opening was small, it produced a free and easy draw. Once lit, the cigar had a warm tobacco flavor and aroma. It had a meaty mouth feel. The smoke was copious. I was hoping for more of the hickory aroma but it was barely present as the smoke progressed. The ash was in the middle of dark to white. The construction felt a spongy but it did not take away from the enjoyment of this cigar. I did pick some sweetness notes. The retro-hale was spicy. As imposing as the Bulldozer looked, the strength was on the medium spectrum. Overall, I enjoyed this cigar right down to the nub. I highly recommend it to Crowned Heads fans or cigar smokers who wish to expand their smoking horizons. Ole!
