The Torpedo was traditionally a fat cigar with two closed, tapered ends. Today, it is any cigar with a cut foot and straight body which tapers to a closed, pointed head.

A box pressed cigar is a cigar that has a square shape. Originally, this shape came from the practice of packing round cigars tightly in cardboard boxes which are then compacted using a manual press. The cigars are thus pressed into each other and become a "squarish" or semi-square shape. Today, cigar makers use square shaped molds or a wooden trunk press for their box pressed cigars, achieving a more defined square section.

Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.

The "Garcia Family Industrial Park" located in Esteli, Nicaragua is a seven-acre complex with 9 buildings, over 1900 employees, where the Garcias supervise their cigar production from the tobacco field to the roller's table. Their Miami headquarters house 12 rollers that make all of the company's "handmade in Miami" brands.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has become one of the most used cigar wrappers in the market. Grown primarily by the Oliva family, this tobacco originated from Habano or H2000 seeds brought to Ecuador from Cuba. This leaf is rich and flavorful thanks to the temperate climate of Ecuador and the quality of its volcanic soil.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together. 
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
