A full-bodied smoke with a coffee, earthy, and spicy profile. Its Ecuadorian Habano wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and an aged vintage Nicaraguan and Dominican 2007 filler. Altadis U.S.A. assigned their most skilled and accomplished cigar makers, whom they call "Grupo de Maestros" or Master Group, to create the Montecristo Epic. During the production process each cigar is meticulously inspected. The cigars that pass inspection are boxed with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artisans. The cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic. The Montecristo Epic Toro received an 88 rating from Cigar Insider.
