Monte by Montecristo Monte is the 60 ring gauge toro size in the 2013 expansion to the Montecristo lineup by Altadis. The Monte boasts a deliciously chocolate colored Ecuadoran Habano wrapper, a double binder of aged Nicaraguan corojo and Dominican Olor, and Dominican filler. The double binder creates an interesting blend of flavors that include a sweet leather and black pepper. This medum to full bodied cigar delivers a rich creamy smoke that does not disappoint and delivers the construction and quality you have come to expect from Montecristo.

  Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.
