Its Brazilian maduro wrapper covers a blend of Cuban-seed: Dominican binder and Honduran and Dominican fillers. Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the Kristoff Ligero Maduro uses twice the amount of Ligero leaves than the original Kristoff cigar, which adds to the cigar’s strength without sacrificing its flavor.

  The Kristoff Ligero Maduro is a full-bodied Dominican cigar with an equally full-bodied character. Ultra bold and uber rich, the Ligero Maduro features a Brazilian Maduro wrapper on top of a Dominican binder and Cuban-seed Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers which come together to provide a delicious smoke containing notes of coffee bean, dried cherries and figs, and cocoa which will smother your palate and leave you speechless. As with most Kristoff brands, this cigar also comes with a pigtail cap and shaggy foot for the ultimate boutique touch.

While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

  Brazil grows tobacco from North to South. The East Central State of Bahia is an important cigar tobacco producer. The growing area is about 100 miles west of the state capital, Salvador da Bahia, an active port on the Atlantic Coast. The Northern State of Alagoas hosts a production around the city of Arapiraca where maduro wrappers are grown.

  Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.
