  EP Carrillo's Inch Maduro Series is a limited production of less than 125,000 cigars in three different vitolas. The Inch Maduro is wrapped in a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, with a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers that include Nicaraguan Viso, Dominican Piloto Cubano, Corojo and Criollo '98. The cigars are medium to full flavored sticks that have been produced to set the new standard of flavor in big ring gauges. One of the sizes in the line is a 64 ring gauge, which is 1 inch in diameter, giving the line its name.

  Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, a legend in the industry since the success in the 90s of his La Gloria Cubana brand, has now created E.P. Carrillo which he runs with his family. In 2009, he began making the cigars that bear his name in his own factory called Tabacalera La Alianza located in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

  Connecticut Broadleaf is grown in the United States' Connecticut Valley and is prized for its dark, oily, full flavored and aromatic characteristics. The plants are grown in full sun giving this cigar wrapper its characteristic sweetness. The Connecticut Broadleaf plant leaves are mainly processed as maduro tobacco. Today, Connecticut Broadleaf seeds are being grown in other countries besides the United States.

  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
