The story behind the brand is that the beautiful box design was inspired from an antique humidor found at El Credito Cigar factory. The company cultivated a new cigar wrapper to be used on this blend, a Connecticut seed tobacco grown in Honduras. The delicate, golden-hued wrapper disguises a powerful, full flavored interior of double Nicaraguan and Mexican binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican ligero fillers.   With the Retro Especiale, Team La Gloria set out to break the mold with the blend by cross-breeding a Connecticut seed cultivated in Honduras. Despite the golden appearance of the wrapper the blend is brash in its full flavor and engages the entire palate. The double binder of bold Nicaraguan and Mexican leaf is enhanced by Nicaraguan and Dominican ligero with an additional peppering of proprietary Nicaraguan and Dominican leaf.
