FSG by Drew Estate features Florida Sun Grown tobacco grown in Clermont, Florida. The tobacco is rare so it is included as an accent tobacco among aged Nicaraguan fillers, finished with a Habano Honduran binder and Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. I'm glad I got my hands on one of these discontinued sticks before they were gone forever. Very tasty and aromatic with an excellent full draw with the v-cut. Pepper and spice with a sweet cocoa undertone. My only gripe is the uneven burn. I'd still put this on my favs list if it weren't discontinued.

Whenever this one becomes available, snatch a couple of them up and throw them in your humidor. After half a year of it relaxing and maxing, pick it up, light it up, and be... Patient. The first half is will leave you feeling like "yeah, ok, whatever," it's alright. BUT, when it finally decides to switch gears in the final half, it becomes one of the most sensational cigars on the market. The balance of flavors, the way that they interplay with one another, it's straight delicious. Notes of pepper and spice, coffee and chocolate will have you puffing on a centimeter of tobacco, hoping that you can get another 10 minutes out of it without burning yourself. But that's like life, finding the perfect combination of pleasure and joy, with the hope of not getting burned in the process.

Wildly different cigar than anything I’ve tried (yet to have a KFC). Starts off with a sweet hickory wood fire grilled rye toast with broth, black peppered bacon, and just a touch of molasses. The second third drops that peppered bacon and brings in more molasses sweetness, cedar, chicken broth soaked rye bread. The final third is an encore of black and red peppered bacon, hickory wood, cedar, molasses, earth, and fall leaves. Oily mouthfeel on the draw and slightly dry through the finish. Very unique. A must try IMO.

Steakhouse cigar! This is the kind of cigar you want with a big red and good sizzling porterhouse. 60 ring is big but not overly so...good lite , a little sour at first but gets better over time. Slight canoe burn pattern but nice ash. Good solid cigar. I’d do it again.

La primera solo, y nunca olvidaré ese momento. La segunda fue después de un partido de rugby en el tercer tiempo, sin duda otro momento para recordar. A mi juicio es un puro untuoso, yo diría incluso que lujoso para el paladar. Su sabor permanece con dulzura durante un tiempo que hace que su estela se prolongue más allá del momento efímero de su degustación. En fin, un antes y un después. this is one cigar you should try for sure if you are into the maduro cigars, it has a really good taste, for me it wasn't that heavy. I would recommend smoking this cigar with a good single malt aged whiskey or an aged rum more than 12 years aged

I appreciate the idea of using Florida grown tobacco in a cigar but it fails horribly. The flavor is what I imagine the bark off a bog soaked tree branch would taste like. If the flavor of a marsh is your thing, then this smoke is for you. If not use that $15 on just about any cigar on this site and it will be better spent.

A friend sent one in a trade that had been aged 3 months, and it tasted as good as a Liga Privada in disguise. I liked it so much I had to buy a box. They are great after a couple weeks, but the reward for giving them a few months in the humi is mind blowingly worth it. One of the only cigars in existence with an Arapiraca wrapper that I truly like.

Upon first look this cigar looks very basic, nothing outstanding, nothing unusual just a dark wrapper with a nice sheen. After opening the sleeve you're greeted with that familiar tobacco smell that brings back memories of my great grandfather's chewing tobacco when I was a child. The sweet woody smell is very strong but still inviting. After cutting the dry draw is very easy. The initial burn let off a wonderful aroma and the light went flawlessly. The first taste I picked up was almost an oak whiskey barrel type flavor. It made me think of the smell I get when I'm hand planing a nice piece of oak. The first third was very smooth with a consistent burn. The retrohale had a slightly spicy peppery note to it, definitely not harsh. The cigar maintained the delicious sweet oak flavor throughout with little change. At the 2nd third the burn got a little inconsistent but not bad enough to warrant fixing it with the lighter. Overall a FANTASTIC cigar! Definitely recommendable to someone looking for a more full and sweeter "woody" cigar.

Beautiful-looking cigar. Can't say that the Florida-grown tobacco really stood out to me, but the Brazilian wrapper is beautiful. Very mild smoke -- I wanted to love it, but it didn't deliver a lot of flavor (sometimes a challenge with the filler to wrapper ratio in Toros). The Oliva Serie G maduro Toro packs more chocolate, raisin goodness. The two guys I was with liked theirs, as they like more mild sticks. Not bad, but for $14 you can probably do better. Worth a try though.

I am beyond excited to present to you the Florida Sun Grown (FSG) by Drew Estate! Willy Herrera collaborated with the owner of Corona Cigars to bring this Floridian tobacco onto the palates of smokers looking for something new and exciting. This is the first time in nearly 40 years that Florida tobacco is used in making a cigar, and it definitely deserves your attention; I can't rave about this cigar enough. From the first puff, you are met with a rich toastiness that leads way into some of the most delicious earthy notes I've experienced in recent memory. Notes of wood and the slightest amount of spice were present, and towards the end the cigar brought back that warm toastiness with a vengeance. The burn remained perfect throughout the entire session, and no relights were needed. Interestingly, there is no mention of Drew Estate anywhere on the band, but rest assured - the quality you've come to expect from them over the years remains in tact. Without a doubt, one of my new favorites that I gladly recommend to everyone who comes into the store. Clermont, Florida. Who'd have thought?
