The Room 101 Daruma was an instant hit among premium boutique cigar fans when it was first released in 2012. Now it’s back! If in name only. This Daruma is a wholly re-imagined, re-engineered version of the original. While the original was composed of a four-nation blend, “the rumor” is that this Daruma is a full-bodied Nicaraguan puro from filler to wrapper. According to Matt Booth, Room 101 brand founder, “... just as goals change and times change, Daruma has evolved.” and he invites aficionados to “Light up a Daruma and celebrate how far you come and set a course for your next big adventure.”

Oliva Cigar Company is Nicaragua's second largest grower of tobacco and one of the largest cigarmakers in the world. It all started in 1886 when Melanio Oliva first grew tobacco in Cuba. In 1995, his grandson Gilberto Oliva would launch the Oliva cigar brand, produced in Esteli, Nicaragua. The company's flagship brand, Oliva Serie V, has obtained some of the highest ratings in cigar publications worldwide. Their cigars use mostly tobacco harvested by the company in their various farms in Nicaragua.
