Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Have to say that this was a great smoke. It has a light peppery taste that sits on your tongue and then slowly fades and a very chocolaty taste on the lips when you draw. It did tunnel a bit, but not enough to ruin the smoke. Would definitely smoke this again

Once I lit up the cigar, the note of leather and red poet. Then so cinnamon kicked in on the first third. The second third notes of roasted chestnuts and more cinnamon. With a hearty wood note as the strength decreased. And the final last third develop a dark chocolate and some light hints of coffee & roasted nuts. For those that can handle a full bodied cigar. This one is a must try. I have purchased both chapter 1 & capítulo 2. Excellent full body cigar. Extremely pleased with my purchase.

First off, this is one beautiful looking cigar, very impressive. Get it while you can as it is limited. Typical LFD excellent construction with good burn. So far, out of the three I've smoked, none produced a lot of smoke which prevented me from giving it a higher rating. I did not find this to be overpowering in strength. Solid and fittingto be in your humidor.

The 2020 offering is not as good as I had hoped after reading these reviews below. I found it mostly underwhelming in terms of flavor and body. It was Smooth. Medium body. Lots of cocoa, and creamy coffee, cappuccino, but that was about it. the flavors didn’t change much. Not too much going on. lacks complexity which makes it kind of boring to smoke. Disclaimer: I did just smoke a Oliva V Melanio Maduro the day before and the My Father the Judge days before that, soon my palate is probably desensitized. Either way this cannot hold a candle to those, especially considering this was at least 20% more expensive. Buy 2-3 LFD Double Ligero Maduros Instead—all time favorite.

REMOVE Loved this cigar. Tasted of roasted potatoes on the draw with a tangy plum licked from my lips. The mouth feel accented with pineapple. Another wonderful LFD. The chisel foot was one of the better ones; some of the previous chisel shaped cigars needed chopped. I enjoyed it without a beverage but it would pair well with your morning or evening libations.

LFD are my go to cigars. However...I suspected that I would have some burn issues with this one when I saw that the lopsided bunch of leaves when I looked at the foot of the cigar. I had to work to prevent canoeing while smoking it and the butt ash was all ragged and ugly. I bought these in the Dominican Rep, so they might have been factory seconds. That being said, it had the excellent aroma and draw that I expect from LFD. I’ll keep on smoking these, I just hope the next one burns better.

First of all, the construction of this cigar is flawless and spectacular. Maybe one of the most impressive I've ever seen. The unique shape and heavy weight of the cigar was most intriguing. The draw is just right and the thing kicks like a mule. Definitely a big boy cigar! LFD is a heavy hitter when it comes to full strength smokes! Also has great flavor transitions. Overall, excellent work here.

Guys I would put this stick up there with at least top 10 maybe even my top 5 smokes of all time. First off LFD makes a beautiful Cigar, but they follow it up with a smooth full body of smoke full of flavor. Sorry, my pallet isn’t as sophisticated as some. So I will Have to spare you the flavor details, just know it defiantly has a taste, in addition to that I don’t know If it is because I don’t smoke two sticks a day but I felt like I got a bit of a nicotine high from theses sticks so I would recommend not smoking it on an empty stomach.

I ordered one each of the different LFD Chisels, to determine whicn one(s) I liked such that I could order more. Oh well...I like all of them. The chisel vitola is comfortable to smoke and the chisel line are all well constructed, and very tasty.

Has to be one of the best made cigars on the planet, and for me a more interesting taste than the other "chisel" varieties. More mellow, not quite as rough as the others, but not for the novice. Definitely pinch, do not cut.

First, yhank you Neptune for carrying such a great selection of cigars and providing impeccable service through Alluson & Lilly! I'm only going to comment on the presentation and aroma unyil I smoke them later. These are most stunning cigars I have ever seen!! The aroma is sweet, full of carmel with notes of cocoa and spice. If you're considering buying a box, note that my box arrived sealed and when opened the Boveda pack inside was completely dry. I'm going to let them rest and rehydrate in the humidor for quite some time before smoking. I'll update the rest of the review on the draw, burn and taste at smoke time, but for now, I'm giving them full points!

I am new to cigars and found this one by chance. It has left the best impression on my of all the cigars I've had so far. I think the draw is a little tight - which is dangerous for a new cigar smoker. Thaat being said I love everything else about it, and I plan to always have a few in my humidor.

First things first, this is a strikingly beautiful cigar, with its dark-chocolate luxurious wrapper and interesting chisel shape. It's also a pepper-spice bomb. Starts with little else through the first third, then in the 2nd and 3rd thirds it picks up some richness and depth -- but not enough to my taste, with the cracked black pepper and habanhero spiciness still predominating. Burn was uneven at least until half-way, with several touch-ups required. All in all, lacks the richness and robustness I would have expected. Perhaps it will get better with some time in the humidor - I bought two, so I'll try the other in a few months. I really wanted to like this but came away wanting more. The wrapper really is amazing though, that coffee-bean sheen ...

I found this 6x54 box pressed toro to be different from the spicy, bold and full bodied cigars produced by La Flor Dominicana. Nonetheless, this is a wonderful smoke that you should try. This cigar comes with a seamless and smooth Mexican San Andrés wrapper. My initial tasting notes were: earth, espresso and some moderate spice. Into the second third the spice disappears and becomes more earthy. I did have to do some minor touch ups to the cigar a few times to even out the burn. As I entered the final third, the spice returns and the espresso tones pick up in flavor. This is a well constructed cigar that held a firm ash. It took me about ninety minutes to smoke this cigar. I would consider this cigar to be medium bodied but full flavored.

A very rich, rather intense cigar. Lots of leather, dark roast coffee and char. Smokes beautifully, but its not for the timid cigar smoker
