Kristoff Sumatra cigars are traditional Cuban flavor cigars made with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Brazilian binder and Cuban Seed Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. Medium bodied, the Kristoff Sumatra is smooth, spicy and sweet.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Colorado is a medium brown color also known as EMS or English Market Selection as this used to be the color with more popularity in England than in America.

Ecuadorian Sumatra-Seed
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type wrappers to many cigar factory in the world.
Binder
Brazil
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Brazil grows tobacco from North to South. The East Central State of Bahia is an important cigar tobacco producer. The growing area is about 100 miles west of the state capital, Salvador da Bahia, an active port on the Atlantic Coast. The Northern State of Alagoas hosts a production around the city of Arapiraca where maduro wrappers are grown. The Southern states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina produce tobacco for cigarettes and pipe.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

Had to use guillotine cutter due to the knotted end of cigar perfect draw and burn was even during lightning. Great aroma and taste mild to full body flavor very pleasant. I had never heard of this brand before buying this 8 stick sampler really good smokes for around $8-10 each if you buy a box. I wish they came in 60 gage size but that might change the taste. 17Nov 2nd Smoke: About the same as before really enjoy the taste and aroma of this smoke full of flavor and super smooth. No after taste for a full body stick

It is hard to rate a sampler overall but Kristoff as a brand seem to be average I dont mean that in a negative way Because they mostly all seem to bunt taste and look decent not great and not bad at all but for the price you cant go wrong and it gives you a chance to see which if any you like. Me personally I will reach for the Ligero and the carojo limitada again . The ligero has dark flavors and is high strength the limitada has lots of citrus cinnamon and some spice

Bought the sampler pack more out of curiosity then anything else. Overall it was a decent smoke but the cigar burned quite quickly. Taste wise it was one dimensional: it tastes as it's advertised "bold and spicy." Would I smoke this cigar again? Yes because I have three left but wouldn't go out of my way to buy them.

I was a bit hesitant to buy the bold spice sampler, since I normally like a robust cigar; but this package exceeded my expectations. Especially good were the Sumatra and Corojo cigars; both spicy enough to be interesting, bold enough to satisfy. The Habano was good, too. If looking for a taste adventure, this is a good deal!

Mild cigar that goes beyond that (accurate) description because of its slight cinnamon flavor from the Sumatra leaf and a hint of pepper. Nice surprise. Very enjoyable!
