El Reloj (in Spanish, "the clock") cigar is named after J.C. Newman's cigar factory in Tampa where he started rolling cigars in 1954. The El Reloj factory with its famous four-sided clock built in 1910, was a focal point of the Ybor City, Tampa community in a time when most people did not own clocks or watches.
