The Coronado is La Flor Dominicana's first line of cigars wrapped in Habano Sun-Grown Nicaraguan leaves. The filler is a blend of Dominican Sumatra and Piloto Cubano, the binder is Dominican Corojo, both grown in their farm. This full bodied cigar earned the #2 spot on Cigar Aficionado's 2006 Top 25 Cigars of the Year.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

Sungrown
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Sungrown cigar wrappers come from tobacco plants that are grown directly under the sun without the use of man made tents to give shade as in Shade grown wrappers. As opposed to the Shade grown plants, sun grown tobacco plants grown thicker leaves with thicker veins and darker color. Sungrown wrappers can be appreciated for their rich taste and sweet undertones.
Nicaraguan Habano
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. Corojo seeds were brought to the Dominican Republic from Cuba to produce excellent quality wrapper and binder leaves.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Filler (or “tripa” in Spanish) is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar. The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

This one caught me eye with the light colored wrap. Taste is definite nuts and spice with some wood. Draw is effortless and burn is pretty even. Pretty fast burn though for some reason. Not something I'll be stocking up on but definitely worth trying.

This is a nice sample pack. Litto Gomez gives an interesting description about ways to cut a Chisel cigar. Two ways include squeezing it and popping it open or you can punch the the top. Easy to find with Google and YouTube. Great sample check it out.

This is a medium plus stick. Smooth taste with a subtle, spicy undertone. Be prepared to spare 2 hours. Paired well with balvenie 14yr caribbean cask.

Very good variety of mild-medium body sticks. Surprisingly long burning for the size and hearty draw. All taste of very nicely aged tobaccos. Fantastic value.

Absolutely 100% crap the worst I've ever purchased the only good thing about these are the appearance. I only got these because of the reviews. No Aroma, poor burn and they all unwrapped very poorly done so I got what I paid for Poor cigars for cheap price, never again.

I was sad when La Flor stopped making these a few years ago, I'm glad they are back. Has a smooth wrapper, great draw, and it's very full bodied? Recommend this only to those who like a full bodied cigar. Enjoy!!

To start buy these from neptune cause i paid 12 dollars for mine today. But also this is a good stick not the best not the worst. Good burn at first but then the wrapper fell all to pieces. C++
