Aging Room Bin No. 1 was released in 2014 by Boutique Blends. The cigar is handmade using aged tobacco cultivated between 1999 and 2001 in the Dominican Republic. At the release of the cigar in Las Vegas, the company recalls how Jochy Blanco would have some mysterious tobacco stored with a sign that said "Bin No. 1". When asked about the tobacco, Jochy would reply "you're not ready for Bin No. 1 yet". Gentlemen, it appears that now we are ready for this superbly aged tobacco. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Habano which gives these aged leaves the perfect balance.

The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Ecuadorian Habano
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has become one of the most used cigar wrappers in the market. Grown primarily by the Oliva family, this tobacco originated from Habano or H2000 seeds brought to Ecuador from Cuba. This leaf is rich and flavorful thanks to the temperate climate of Ecuador and the quality of its volcanic soil.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.

Tabacalera Palma is a family owned and operated cigar factory that is headed by Jose “Jochy” Blanco, a third-generation tobacco grower and cigar crafter. The factory is located in the La Palma free trade zone, which is in the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic. It is considered one of the oldest tobacco companies in the Dominican Republic. Tabacalera Palma makes cigars for a large number of companies as well as their own brands such as La Galera, Aging Room, La Instructora, and Sans Pareil.

I've had this In my humidor for about 9 months and today it had its birthday. Upon pulling this out of the cello I noticed how nice and elegant the presentation is, the construction was excellent, good burn, AMAZING aroma (vintage and slightly floral). This is a great stick that easily could have sold for $15/$20. Very nicely done. If you like this, then go for an Aging Room Nicaragua Quattro which is just as awesome.

This cigar is ready for the fashion world: it has the look of a top model. Stylish, classic and long. For sure I'm curious, the cigar looks amazing. Almond is the first flavor I notice, with hints of earth and some cedar. It has a sweetness that's hard to explain, hints of spices (cinnamon) and some spicy notes consistent during the first two thirds, that almost disappear in the last third. Creamy, flavorful, well balanced, excellent draw and perfect construction are some of the words one can use to describe this stick. Of course it's worth trying it! It's a great smoke overall.

I am an Aging Room cigar fan. This was the first Bin No 1 I smoke. It was not a disappointment. Construction was perfect. Hit held perfectly, and the blend was wonderful; notes of vegetation, earthy character, and a great nuance of meaty goodness. Not as spicy as M356 or F55, much more tame but still full of flavor. A+
