Ambrosia cigars are made of tobacco infused with a mix of delicate spices that gives the cigar the aroma of pipe tobacco. Drew Estate also uses wine and rum to give Ambrosia cigars their unique flavor. Drew Estate released the Ambrosia Cigar brand in 2002.

Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.

Nicaragua
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

NeptuneCigar.com The flavor is similar, but the tobacco is still cigar type tobacco, not the cigarette tobacco that is blended with cloves in the Djarum's

This cigar was quite the pleasant surprise! At first, the ingredients, reminded me of some not so pleasant Clove cigarettes some college friends of mine used to smoke. Which were rancid. In EVERY SENSE of the word! So I was apprehensive at first. Yet I gave this cigar a chance. I was so glad that I did! It’s got a very easy draw, and a subtle flavor to it! It wasn’t overpowering, nor did it burn your tongue or leave a nasty, lingering aftertaste. All in all, I’m certainly going to add this cigar to my humidor collection.

Nice Sticks arrived in good shape in a nice sealed Neptune bag with moisture packet sealed inside. These were hard to find in stock but these guys had them and hooked me up. Tasty stick burned well and good ash with lots of smoke . Easy draw.

I tried this as a cheaper version of the Acid Krush of same size. They burn OK but construction is soft and mushy compared to the firm quality of the Acid. Cedar sweetness of the wrapper is nice, but wears off quickly (again, compared to Acid which lasts the whole smoke). Flavor is somewhat bland, but there is enough here I might try again.

While infused cigars aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, I enjoy them immensely. And the Ambrosia Spice cigar is one of my favorites. Think nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon. It’s almost like smoking dessert. And the aroma of the smoke is very pleasant, even for non smokers. I try to keep these in my humidor all the time. Quality construction and even burn every time. Nearly burn my fingers because I smoke them down to nearly nothing.

A very intriguing cigar. Very smooth and mellow. I felt like I was breathing in air inside of an Indian spice shop. Clove, cinnamon, anise, but not overly sweet. Unfortunately, it was missing my favorite flavor, tobacco. Perhaps my bourbon overpowered the cigar, but there just was not enough “mouth feel”, it was too light.

These are a fantastic cigar, I did find that I had two or three which didn't quite draw as well as the others, but overall very nice. The taste starts off nice, with subtle spices present, and only gets better as you get further into it. Great burn and holds its ash well, overall a fantastic stick if you like infused.

Part of sampler. Taking out of cellophane an immediate aroma of cloves. Taste of cigar wrapper quite sweet (infused). Excellent burn and draw. Smell and taste of cloves plus creamy, smooth cigar. 1/3 to 1/2 in some pepper which complemented the clove taste. Very nice. Good ash. Pleasant finish down to nub.

First, about the cigar characteristics. Do not get turned away due to "flavored". The draw and burn were excellent. The ash held well and no relights. The flavor... when you remove the wrapper you will smell the sweetness and spices---beautiful.The cut was easy and in the mouth it was very sweet but not like artificially flavored candy. The smoke was aromatic and as it mixed with the cigar earthiness and tobacco spices, there was synergy. Very relaxing.

I did not enjoy this cigar at all. Perhaps my expectations were skewed by the reference to "cloves" in the name. I couldn't discern any hint of cloves whatsoever. To me it had a pungent solvent-like flavor that lingered in my mouth well into the next day. On the positive side, I did enjoy the sweetness on the lips before the draw, but that wasn't enough to make we want to finish the second third of the stick. The final word: I would buy these for my kids if I want to be sure that they never start smoking cigars.

A little sweet, but not a turn off. I can't say I've ever had a cigar that could draw or burn as well. Very well made. The last third got a little spicy on me which was so different from the first two-thirds. Overall, very very good.
