  Humidor capacity equals the number of cigars that can fit in the humidor. Since cigars vary significantly in size and shape, we use Churchill sized cigars (7" x 50) when calculating humidor capacity. Remember capacity is the MAXIMUM of cigars that can fit in the humidor. For better air & humidity circulation, we recommend to not fill your humidor more than 75% of its capacity.

  Cedar has been used for many centuries in boats and in high-humidity environments, as it is famous for staying flat and not warping under high humidity conditions. All cedar humidors are rare because of how costly this wood is, however, most humidors come with a cedar lining. This is a thin, flat piece of cedar placed inside of the humidor to help maintain humidity and to maintain a tight seal when opening the humidor.

  The humidifier is the part that will maintain the humidity level in your humidor. Most of the humidors comes with so called "green foam" humidification systems. While it's the most commun humidification system, it works only one way by increasing humidity level but will not lower humidity if necessary. We recommend to update to the latest technologies like the crystals, gel or beads that work both ways and really help maintain 70% humidity in your humidor.

  Hygrometers are used to measure the humidity inside your humidor and make sure your cigars are safe at 70% humidity. There are different types: Analog, digital, external, internal, or built-in. Remember to always calibrate your hygrometer before use to make sure the reading is correct.
