Illusione Epernay Le Tareau was meant to be a sweeter version of the original Illusione cigar by Dion Giolito. Illusione Epernay cigars are made with a light, shade grown Corojo '99 wrapper from Nicaragua. The name Epernay is that of a Champagne town in France, and the association with Champagne is meant to evoque the fruitiness and sweet character of the cigar. Illusione Epernay Le Tareau earned the No. 3 spot on Cigar Aficionado's Best Cigars of the Year 2011.

A well balanced cigar for those that aren't into spicy or strong flavor. In my opinion this cigar should have tied with the La Aroma in Cigar Aficianado's Top 25 2011 but both are great and are both currently in my humidor.
