Aging Room Bin No. 1
Aging Room Bin No. 1 was released in 2014 by Boutique Blends. The cigar is handmade using aged tobacco cultivated between 1999 and 2001 in the Dominican Republic. At the release of the cigar in Las Vegas, the company recalls how Jochy Blanco would have some mysterious tobacco stored with a sign that said "Bin No. 1". When asked about the tobacco, Jochy would reply "you're not ready for Bin No. 1 yet". Gentlemen, it appears that now we are ready for this superbly aged tobacco. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Habano which gives these aged leaves the perfect balance.
The standard Toro shape is 6 inches by 50 ring.
This cigar is 6"1/8 inches long, or 155.57 mm.
Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.
Cigar Ring Gauge
The cigar ring gauge corresponds to the diameter of a cigar, this cigar has a ring gauge of 52, so his diameter is 52/64 inches or 20.57 mm.
Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.
Handmade cigars are completely made by hand from start to finish.
Tabacalera La Palma
Tabacalera La Palma was founded in 1925 by Jose Arnaldo Blanco, one of the first cigar factories in the Dominican Republic. Currently, the company's CEO is Jochy Blanco, the 4th generation to run the family's business. Located in Tamboril, on the outskirts of Santiago, Dominican Republic, La Palma employs over 300 people and supports independent tobacco growers in the community.
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has become one of the most used cigar wrappers in the market. Grown primarily by the Oliva family, this tobacco originated from Habano or H2000 seeds brought to Ecuador from Cuba. This leaf is rich and flavorful thanks to the temperate climate of Ecuador and the quality of its volcanic soil.
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.
Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

Another home run for aging room Cigars. The appeareance of this stick is outstanding and the flavor is there at the very moment it's ligths up: a subtle sweetness combined with some spiceness makes this cigar very enjoyable all the way to the end. It starts as a medium smoke but kicks up right in the middle to finish as a full body cigar without losing the smoothness but lightly changing to a more complex wood-like flavor with pepper notes at the end. I can see this cigar as a permanent guest in my humidor at home.
great morning cigar with tea.
