EP Carrillo's Inch Series is a limited production of less than 125,000 cigars in three different vitolas. The Inch Natural is wrapped in an Ecuador Sumatra Natural wrapper, with a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers that include Nicaraguan Viso, Dominican Piloto Cubano, Corojo and Criollo '98. The cigars are medium to full flavored sticks that have been produced to set the new standard of flavor in big ring gauges. One of the sizes in the line is a 64 ring gauge, which is 1 inch in diameter, giving the line its name.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

Ecuadorian Sumatra-Seed
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Ecuador is the perfect place to grow wrappers, because it is located on the Equator! And it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type wrappers to many cigar factory in the world.
Binder
Nicaragua
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Filler (or “tripa” in Spanish) is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar. The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

Though I usually prefer an 80 ring, this cigar makes up for it in taste and flavor. Great, dense construction allows even burn through out. Perfect cigar for a night out with friends.

Great cigar. I'd place this one a little further towards full end than the medium rating led me to expect (which is absolutely fine by me). Burn was mostly even, needing only a few minor corrections. Produces a good amount of very nice smoke.

For me, this stick wasn't my favorite. I got notes of ash on the middle 1/3. The first and last third were excellent (mild pepper, wood and earthy) but the middle portion was a fight. It may have not been ready to smoke as it had only been in my humidor 24 hours. Will try again and see because I love EPC cigars.

Terrific smoke from EP. First of all, this thing is HUGE and looks delicious. Cold draw was raisin bread and some spice. First third had a lot sweet cedar and even pumpkin-pie type flavors, which in 2nd and 3rd backed off - though the sweetness remained. Ash held for a long time, and burn was reasonable given the challenges of larger ring gauges like this. I enjoyed it more than the Maduro version I smoked recently, which surprised me as I usually prefer Maduros. The smoke on this was incredibly fragrant almost perfumed. Will buy more.

EP CARILLO inch, discovered them by accident in a high end cigar shop in Manhattan. Excellent cigar; nice flavor, smooth draw, long lasting. Take them out of the cellophane when you put them in the humidor. Definitely recommend you try...??????

This was an enjoyable cigar. However don't think I will buy again. Got a lot of spice and wood flavor, but these flavors intensify at the end, making it a little too intense for me. Also, it is very tightly packed, which may be why the draw was very tight. On a cigar with a 62 ring guage, the tight draw made it a lot of work to smoke. Just not my preference.

First half of this Cigar was great...Slightly sweet with an meaty balance. Second half the sweetness went a way and was replaced by a hint of leather and pepper. The burn was kind of all over the place and needed a few touchups. I would smoke again but not going to be craving for it.

Another great stick for EP. Perfect draw with a nice amount of smoke. The burn was a little uneven and needed a couple touch ups but that might of been my fault, I only let it sit in my humidor for 2 weeks. I will definitely be getting some more. Next time ill let them sit for at least 6 weeks before i smoke them.

This one it (literally, size-wise) is a monster cigar! Definitely a special occasion cigar - remember it is a 3+ hour cigar with that size so don't light it unless you have 4 hours to spare! Great cigar although gotta keep attention to it while smoking if you forget about it WILL die down. Burn also requires attention which is not surprising for cigar that is more than an inch thick.
