Punch Signature, the new version of Punch launched in 2015, features an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. It's a bolder, fuller bodied version of Punch. The wrapper of the Punch Signature is grown in the Los Rios province of Ecuador, an area nestled between two volcanic mountains, which yields exquisite tobacco with exceptional burn and taste. This wrapper has never been used before in any other cigar.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Maduro wrapper can go from dark coffee brown with a reddish tint to blackish brown (the latter also called Oscuro).

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Corojo wrapper was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo wrapper because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo wrapper has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

Connecticut Habano
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.

Dominican Republic
Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Filler (or “tripa” in Spanish) is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar. The Dominican Republic is considered one of the most premier tobacco growing countries in the world. The filler tobacco grown in this Caribbean island nation ranges from mild to full bodied. Olor Dominicano and Piloto Cubano are the main types of tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

Christian Jensen Has the blend for the signature series change from sumatran binder to Connecticut? I thought the Connecticut binder was only used on the Rothschild line

I may just have gotten a bad box but there was nothing I could like about these. Most didn't draw or burn well and the flavor/aroma was incredibly boring and mediocre.

It’s a cheap pretty good light smoke. Nothing terribly special. Burns very well, ash stays on the cigar for almost the whole first 2/3 of the smoke. Taste is okay, aroma is nice. Great walk the dog smoke.

There are pretty much all my Dad will smoke at this point. He loves the ring gauge and length as well as the flavor. Once in a while he'll complain about the inconsistencies in the draw and how it burns, but it's rare, and probably no more than other cigars of this quality. His all-time favorite cigar was the Perdomo Habano Corojo Gordo which I think they stopped making so we had to find something similar and this was the one he settled on.

Brilliant smoke. Punch by name, Punch by nature; I made the mistake of smoking the first one on an empty stomach right after I got home from work, and could barely stand up afterwards! The burn was a little uneven, but nothing major, and I found I had to fight to keep it lit around the halfway point. Hopefully I just picked the iffy one in the box? Taste and aroma were both pleasant, but I'm not experienced enough to give tasting notes. I enjoyed it, let's leave it at that. Lovely wrapper on them. Chocolatey brown, smooth, not very toothy (you have to get close and squint to see it) and overall very well constructed. As a bonus, I live in the UK and my box of these arrived less than a week from the day I placed my order, no customs trouble at all!

A very nice looking cigar. The price point is very reasonable. The wrapper has a oily, coffee bean color and very smooth to the Seams are invisible. Excellent job of rolling. The strength started out at medium. Near the end of the first third, it moved to medium/full and continued into the final third hitting a very favorable full. Highly recommend this stick.

I'm not usually a fan of fat cigars, but this one took me by surprise! The burn was as flawless as any cigar that I have ever seen. It yielded a tight white ash that held on for over two inches. The draw was perfect allowing for controlled intake and massive smoke output. The flavor profile was solid rich chewy manly leather with a woodsy toastyness that lingered long and smooth on the palate and satisfied heartily while leaving no signs of harshness whatsoever. This cigar is a winner in any price range and easily falls into the buy-a-box category. Try pairing it with something creamy like a cappuccino, a Brandy Alexander or a White Russian. P.S. This is another cigar that I enjoyed on my recent Disney Vacation. For a fun and festive atmosphere that is cigar friendly, go check out the patio bar at Bongo's Cuban Café at Disney Springs. Expect to find loud music, crowds of people, fellow cigar smokers and a great place to enjoy a fat cigar.

A nice little cigar , quite enjoyable, the only little inconsistency I had with it was it constantly had to be touched up, not a deal breaker, I'll be getting another box wen the time is right, gotta keep my humi filled lol

This could easily be a daily stick, as long as you have time to enjoy it. Great taste, medium strength with creamy smoke. This big fatty will put a smile on your face.

Quite a strong stick for an afternoon smoke, but overall a very good cigar. I have just bought a box of these and so far the strength of these stoogies made me appreciate them in the evenings with a glass or two of Brunello rather than in the afternoon while driving or working. Punch is a guarantee, and this hasn't dissatisfied my palate so far. Powerful and oily, if you like the combo it must be yours.

Bold, smooth and flavorful,the perfect words to describe this stick. With a sharp retro look label contrasting with the oily dark wrapper, the cigar certainly catches the eye, very silky and suave to the touch. Wood, cedar, leather combined with fruity and citrus notes, some spiceness and some sweetness makes this cigar a very complex and well balanced smoke. Punch has a winner...give it a try!
